Visiting Artist Ted Piltzecker’s new album will be released on Origin Records on Oct. 17.
Ted has been part of the rotating faculty in the Hartt Percussion Program, Ben Toth, director, for twenty years. His vibraphone playing and composing have brought him around the world during his long career, and he is happy to share this collection of standards and two originals done in his celebrated arranging style. The music is influenced by several trips to Brazil and Peru. Vinicius Barros, another Hartt contributing faculty member, also appears on the album.
