Kat Owens Visiting Scholar at the Arthur F. Kinney Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies

Kat Owens is a Visiting Scholar at the Arthur F. Kinney Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies at UMass Amherst this fall.

While working at the center, she will explore their collection to learn about how species were considered, conserved, protected, or utilized in the early modern era. Her engagement with the Kinney Center will fuel her Entangled and Ingested project, allowing her to think in new ways about species, environmental science, and art in the time period.
