In front of a large and enthusiastic crowd at Al-Marzook Field this past Saturday, the University of Hartford women's soccer team defeated Endicott College, 2-0, to claim its second straight Conference of New England (CNE) title and earn the right to compete in the NCAA Tournament. It marks the first time that the program has competed on the national stage since 2006.

The Hawks will take a 14-3-2 record and six-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament. They have outscored their opponents over the last six games, 26–2, and have not allowed a goal over their past three contests.

With the CNE title now in hand and momentum carrying them forward, the Hawks set their sights on their first-round matchup in the NCAA Tournament against the University of Rochester. That game will be played at Middlebury College (Vermont) on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1:30 p.m. If the Hawks win, they would return to action the following day for a Sunday, Nov. 16, game (1 p.m.) against the winner of Saturday's contest between Middlebury College and Westfield State.
