The University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business celebrated graduate student achievement with two special events held over commencement weekend.
On Friday, May 15 the Barney School hosted its inaugural Graduate Student Graduation Ceremony, recognizing the accomplishments, dedication, and resilience of graduate students across its programs. The event brought together faculty, staff, family, and friends to celebrate the Class of 2026 and marked the beginning of a new tradition dedicated to honoring Barney’s graduate student community.
The celebration continued on Saturday, May 16 with a separate recognition event for members of the Barney School’s MBA partnership cohort with Cigna. The cohort consists of Cigna employees who completed their MBA degrees while continuing to advance their professional careers.
The Cigna celebration was attended by several senior leaders from the University, including the president, other members of the leadership team, and Barney faculty. The event highlighted the strong partnership between the Barney School and Cigna and the shared commitment to professional growth, leadership development, and lifelong learning.
Together, the two events reflected the Barney School’s commitment to celebrating student success and supporting graduate students at every stage of their academic and professional journeys.
