Sean Meehan, AVP for Development, has been named Director of Institutional Advancement for Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford. His last day at the University of Hartford will be May 29.
Sean joined the University of Hartford in the office of Development & Alumni Affairs in 2017 and has been instrumental in leading our fundraising efforts with our major gifts and annual giving programs. Sean has had professional aspirations to lead an advancement team at an independent school, and this opportunity at KO is a wonderful next step in his professional journey. It is a great fit for his skillset and for his family. In his new role he will lead the development and alumni strategy and staff, as well as serving as the chief fundraising officer for the school. He will, no doubt, enjoy the tight-knit community and traditions that are part of an independent school. Sean is a proud alumnus of KO and appreciates the impact it had on his own life. His three children will likely be future Wyvern’s (their mascot) in a few years!
I am immensely grateful for the past nine years that I have gotten to work with Sean. His contributions to our team, our growth and our office culture are immeasurable. I will miss him as a colleague and as a friend.
