Grants for Scientific Research 2026–27
With the aim of fostering research focused on the healthy human being, in its physical and spiritual dimensions, Bial Foundation now opens a new call for its programme of Grants for Scientific Research 2026–27.
Supported fields: Psychophysiology and Parapsychology
Duration/commencement: Maximum 3 years; commencement between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2027
Award amount: Up to $60,000 per approved application
Applications Due: No later than Aug. 31, 2026
Engineering of Biomedical Systems
Supports fundamental and transformative research that integrates engineering and life sciences to solve biomedical problems.
Supported fields: The Engineering of Biomedical Systems program is part of the Engineering Biology and Health cluster, which also includes: 1) the Biophotonics program; 2) the Biosensing program; 3) the Cellular and Biochemical Engineering program; and 4) the Disability and Rehabilitation Engineering program.
Duration: up to three years
Applications Due: Continuous submission
EDI and Outreach Grants provide grants to strengthen inclusion and participation within the molecular biosciences. As the Biochemical Society is committed to supporting a more accessible community with diverse identities at all levels, we are looking for innovative projects or activities that aim to promote EDI principles and/or develop outreach to underrepresented communities.
Duration: 8 months
Award amount: up to $1,000
