Regina Graziani, Esq., Program Director of the University's Paralegal Studies program, delivered the keynote address at the Connecticut Judicial Branch's 2026 Employee Wellness Institute at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford on Monday, June 8.
Her speech, "Burnout is Not a Badge of Honor," drew on her experience as a practicing attorney and her work helping high-performing professionals recover from burnout. Addressing an audience drawn from the Branch's more than 4,300 employees, Graziani reframed burnout as a response to sustained occupational pressure rather than a personal failure, guided attendees through evidence-based regulation techniques, and presented practical strategies for sustaining wellbeing in high-stakes public service.
