Duffy Felmlee Appointed Chair of Institutional Review Board

felmlee-duffy.jpgDuffy Felmlee of the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions has been appointed chair of the University of Hartford's Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Felmlee currently serves as co-department chair of rehabilitation sciences and as associate program director and clinical/applied professor of prosthetics and orthotics.

The IRB plays a critical role in advancing UHart’s research mission by ensuring the rights, safety, and well-being of individuals who participate in research studies are protected. The board reviews research involving human participants to ensure projects meet the highest ethical standards and comply with federal regulations before research begins.

As chair, Felmlee will provide leadership for the IRB, guiding the review process and collaborating with faculty, staff, and student researchers across the University. His expertise and commitment to ethical research practices will help support a culture of responsible scholarship and ensure the University continues to uphold the highest standards in research involving human participants.
