WWUH is doing something refreshingly rare in 2026: broadcasting live jazz performances straight from Bushnell Park Monday nights during the summer as part of the historic Paul Brown Monday Night Jazz series. Partnering with the Hartford Jazz Society, WWUH carries the nation’s oldest free, continuously run jazz concert series live on 91.3 FM and wwuh.org, keeping Hartford’s jazz legacy vibrant and widely accessible. This year' s series runs through August 10 and takes place on Monday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.
“WWUH has been carrying the Monday Night Jazz series for at least the last 50 years,” longtime station general manager John Ramsey emphasizes. “In addition to helping to promote the amazing series, these broadcasts allow people who, for whatever reason, cannot attend the concerts in person to hear the great music. Over the years, we've heard from people stuck at work, people on vacation, and people in the hospital who regularly listen to our broadcasts. And thanks to our wwuh.org stream, we provide an international audience for the performers.”
