With the University of Hartford Magnet School opening on Wednesday, August 26, heavier traffic is anticipated during morning and afternoon rush periods throughout the year, especially from 8 to 9 a.m. and again from 3 to 4 p.m.
Public Safety officers will be stationed at the main entrance during peak Magnet School arrival and departure times to assist with traffic flow. All should allow additional travel time and remain alert for increased vehicle and pedestrian activity.
Please note that the North and Mark Twain Drive entrances are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and can be used to avoid increased traffic congestion around the main entrance.
