University of Hartford engineering students Brianna Montano-Vazquez ’27 and Javier Serrano ’27 were featured by WFSB ahead of their trip to Spain for a NASA-supported research mission during the total solar eclipse.
In the interview, the students discussed their preparations for the mission, the research they will conduct during the eclipse, and what it means to apply their engineering skills to a real-world scientific project. They also shared their excitement about representing UHart and Connecticut as part of a team working to better understand how a total solar eclipse affects Earth’s atmosphere.
The WFSB interview highlighted both the technical work behind the mission and the students’ excitement as they prepare to take their UHart engineering experience to an international research project.
