Are you an Honors student looking to get 3 Honors credits this semester? You can turn a class you’re already enrolled in into an Honors class by submitting and completing an Honors contract. For an Honors contract, students typically do a research paper, presentation, or creative project on top of the regular coursework.
Process Overview
- Identify the course you’d like to do a project/paper in, and formulate an idea for the paper/project
- Get creative with the project—explore your passion!
- Speak with the course Instructor to get their approval for the paper/project
- Complete the contract form by Friday, Sept. 18
- Make sure to only use the instructors @hartford.edu email address
- Work should be equivalent to ~10-15 written pages
- Be specific about what you plan to do (plans may change and that’s ok!)
- Stay in touch with your instructor to be sure they received and completed the request for approval
- Remember to work on the contract throughout the semester
- It is due the final week of classes; students must receive a B or better in the class
