Metrology Center Open House Recap

Connecticut has a long history as a manufacturing leader, and the University of Hartford’s College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) is helping shape the state’s manufacturing future through its Center for Manufacturing and Metrology. At a recent Open House and Manufacturing Day, CETA highlighted the Center’s role in precision manufacturing technology, workforce development, and industry partnerships. Dean Hisham Alnajjar emphasized how the Center and CETA faculty work closely with local companies to provide training, workshops, and hands-on experiences that prepare students for careers in manufacturing.

The event brought together industry partners and featured Connecticut Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, who highlighted the state’s more than 150,000 manufacturing jobs and the strong career opportunities available to students with technical skills and experience.
