What does civility actually look like in 2026, and what role can your generation play in changing the way we talk, lead and solve problems?
University of Hartford students are invited to join community leaders, elected officials, educators, and changemakers from across Greater Hartford for the Greater Hartford Civility Summit!
This isn't just a morning of listening. It's an opportunity to join the conversation, share your perspective, meet local leaders and make connections with people working to strengthen our communities. The event is free and includes breakfast and snacks!
We'll tackle questions that matter right now:
- How do we disagree without shutting each other down?
- How is misinformation shaping what we believe?
- Can different generations learn to understand one another better?
- What does good leadership look like today?
- How can young people have a stronger voice in their communities?
You'll have the chance to participate in conversations about civility, public service, social media and misinformation, leadership and bridging generational divides.

Time: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Location: West Hartford Town Hall
