Organizational Change in the Professional Formation of Engineers (ENGINEER:OC)

Funder: U.S. National Science Foundation

Deadline: Continuous Submission

Synopsis: The Organizational Change in the Professional Formation of Engineers (ENGINEER:OC) area supports research and activities that revolutionize the professional formation of engineers at scale. This effort helps NSF expand access to high-quality engineering education and workforce development pathways for all. Investigators should propose projects along one of two types: innovation projects, and adaptation/implementation projects. Innovation projects develop and apply new cultural or curricular innovations at a particular setting. These innovations can represent the first practical implementation of established theory. In contrast, Adaptation/Implementation projects build on past work to adapt existing models to new contexts.

Landmarks of American History and Culture and Summer Institutes

Funder: National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)

Deadline: Dec. 9, 2026

Award: Up to $460,000

Synopsis: The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) supports residential summer institutes that deepen K–12 teachers' and higher education faculty's understanding of significant topics in the humanities. Projects provide intensive professional development through humanities scholarship, discussion, and engagement with historical and cultural materials. This opportunity may be relevant to UHart faculty in the humanities and related interdisciplinary fields who are interested in developing educational programming for teachers and faculty.

Improving Undergraduate STEM Education - Adaptation, Implementation, and Dissemination (IUSE-AID)

Funder: U.S. National Science Foundation

Deadline: Continuous Submission

Synopsis: This Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) encourages STEM education communities to submit proposals to the Directorate for STEM Education’s Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE:EDU) program (NSF 23-510) that focus on Adaptation and Implementation, and/or Dissemination of proven teaching strategies and learning materials reflecting advances in what is known about undergraduate STEM teaching and learning. Proposals that develop faculty expertise, implement educational innovations, adapt existing educational innovations for specific teaching and learning environments, and disseminate teaching and learning innovations beyond the scale of the efforts that created them are encouraged.
