Winter Storm Advisory

Due to an impactful winter storm expected throughout the region, the University of Hartford will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25, and Monday, Jan. 26. This includes Harrison Libraries.

In-person Hartt School auditions that were scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, have been rescheduled.

The Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, is canceled. The exhibition at Silpe Gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Hours

The Allen Library has three rooms outfitted with listening and viewing equipment.

Two rooms are suitable for very small groups, and one is suitable for medium sized groups or small seminars.

Each Allen listening/viewing room is equipped with:

  • Speakers
  • Large screen video monitor
  • VGA and HDMI inputs
  • Media player (CD, Bluetooth, USB)
  • LP turntable
  • DVD player
  • VCR
  • Blu-ray player
  • Reel-to-reel tape player (room L137 only)

Room Availability

Rooms are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis, but priority is given to:

  1. Scheduled exams/meetings managed by the library
  2. Users with curricular needs for equipment not available elsewhere in the library
  3. Faculty/tutors for private meetings with students
  4. Group collaboration
