Bystander Intervention

We are a University that is “committed to community.” We all share in the responsibility to watch out for and take care of one another.

We encourage all community members to educate themselves about interpersonal violence and share the information with friends. Confront friends who make excuses for other people’s abusive behavior and speak up against racist, sexist, and homophobic jokes and remarks. Model prosocial behavior and actually intervene when a potentially dangerous situation occurs. Please go to our crime prevention page to learn more about how you can help reduce risk and create change on our campus.
