Winter Storm Advisory

Due to an impactful winter storm expected throughout the region, the University of Hartford will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25, and Monday, Jan. 26. This includes Harrison Libraries.

In-person Hartt School auditions that were scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, have been rescheduled.

The Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, is canceled. The exhibition at Silpe Gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24.

First-Year Foundations Exhibition 

Silpe Gallery 

November 6 – December 2, 2023 

The Hartford Art School celebrates a new cohort of talented thinkers and makers with the First-Year Foundations Exhibition. This annual exhibition features students’ work created during their first two months in the Foundations program. 

 

This year’s participating classes include:

  • Foundation Drawing I taught by Cat Balco, Brandon Brownlee, Kaitlin Lennon, and Jeremiah Patterson
  • Foundation 2D Studios taught by Reagen Holt, Jeremiah Patterson, and Shayna Piascik
  • Foundation 3D Studios taught by Moshe Bursuker, Matthew Dercole, Jared Holt, and Stephanie Lanter
  • Foundation 4D Studio taught by JLS Gangwisch and John Reuter
