“My internship was a game-changer. It deepened my understanding of the supply chain industry and sharpened my analytical and problem-solving abilities. It also taught me how to be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and the importance of teamwork and communication.” – Elijah Faust ‘25, M’26 I Marketing and Master of Business Administration (3+1 Program)
“The curriculum in our program is thoughtfully designed to set us up for success. While it’s challenging in the moment, by the time I entered my first clinical rotation, the feedback I received and the confidence I felt reaffirmed that I was more than prepared for this opportunity.” – Ida Hoxha, DPT '26 I Doctor of Physical Therapy
“At Hartt, I’ve learned that I do not need to be a carbon copy of my favorite trumpet players, conductors, singers, or teachers. Instead, I can be the best version of myself.” – Michael Widjaja ’26 I Music Education
“My professors are a major part of what makes UHart so special for me. They know who I am and what I’ve been through—that makes going to class as fun as it is valuable.” – Madison Carangelo ‘25 I Pre-Professional Health Sciences
The UHart story can't be told by numbers alone. We're too inquisitive, energetic, and fun for that.
But it's as good a place as any to start.
Politics and Government, minors in Economics and Philosophy, 2027
After discovering a passion for public service through his politics and government studies, Nicolas Garcia ’27 took his learning beyond the classroom through hands-on legislative internships. He gained real-world experience supporting constituent services and public policy while interning with Connecticut State Senators.
On campus, Nicolas serves as finance chair of the Student Government Association and as a College of Arts and Sciences student ambassador, where he helps shape student life while turning leadership into meaningful action.
When you're doing the work, consoling the people about issues they care about, and you are the one who is on the frontlines assisting those in need, it reminds you of how much public service and community truly matter.
