Leslie Haines '85

Leslie Haines '85Leslie Haines has more than 30 years of experience in the management and design of highway and bridge projects. Her project experience ranges from transportation planning studies to final design.

Haines retired this past May as vice president at Parsons Corporation, a post she held since 2006. She was previously with Parsons from 1986–2003 in various positions of increasing responsibility, and served as office manager with Dewberry-Goodkind, Inc., in New Haven, Conn., from 2003–06.

In her role at Parsons, Haines supervised the preparation of structural calculations and final contract documents, including specifications and cost estimates for bridge projects. As a project manager, Haines has experience in project planning, scope development, and fee preparation. She has participated and led negotiations for complex projects involving several technical disciplines and subconsultants.

Since 2002, Haines has been a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. She has also been a member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar and several other professional societies.

Haines earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UHart’s College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture in 1985, is a registered Professional Engineer in five states, and is a member of CETA’s Board of Visitors. She resides with her husband, Thomas, in Berlin, Conn.
