Outstanding Alum: Impact on Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement
Aisha Miller has held several notable positions that emphasize her immense capacity to lead and innovate in the public service sector.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology from UHart, then went on to earn an MBA and a Doctorate in Management with a focus on organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix-Massachusetts.
Miller currently serves as Vice President of permitting, community, and corporate engagement at Related Beal, a real estate development firm headquartered in New York with offices in Boston and other cities worldwide. Related Beal is committed to the highest standards of design and development. Miller collaborates with internal teams and external organizations on development planning, public engagement strategies, and external relations. She previously served as Chief of Civic engagement for the City of Boston and as regional steward for the office of the Suffolk County Probation Officers.
Miller’s tireless service has recently led to her receiving a number of honors, including the Women of Color Award from the Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star, named one of the Boston Business Journal’s Power 50, a Champion Award from the Boston Arts Academy Foundation, and Bisnow Boston Power Women Award in the Public Sector.
Miller also holds key positions on many boards, including the Vietnamese American Initiative for Development, UP Academy Boston, the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, and the Harvard Kennedy School's Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston.
