America East Champion Hawks Fall to Baylor in NCAA Tournament

The Hartford Hawks men's basketball team made program history this season when it defeated UMass Lowell, 64–50, in the America East Championship game inside Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion on March 13.

The Hawks reached the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time ever. On March 19, they squared off against regional top-seed Baylor in opening-round play in Indianapolis. The Hawks battled the Bears through a tight opening 12 minutes—holding a lead with under eight minutes left in the opening half—before eventually falling to the Big 12 power, 79–55.
