Named in honor of UHart basketball legend Vin Baker, the complex was spotlighted by courtside reporters Melanie Ricks and Marques Johnson of Fanduel Sports Network at a recent Milwaukee Bucks game.
The sportscasters described Baker, a Bucks assistant coach, as "a terrific guy ... the best human." They noted that the complex being named in Baker's honor is not only for his record on the court, but also for his inspiring story of grit and resilience.
"Everybody needs Vin Baker in their lives," they said.
News of the new complex, which is expected to open in the fall, has already garnered significant coverage in local, regional, and national media.
