Eight New Members Join University of Hartford’s Board of Regents

The University of Hartford is pleased to welcome eight new members to its Board of Regents.

New UHart Regent Members

Collectively, the newest members hold eight University of Hartford degrees. Three are parents of current or former UHart students.

The Board of Regents is the University's governing body that provides policy and financial leadership, utilizing the skills and conscientiousness of its individual members. Their work is invaluable in allowing the school to continue to grow and thrive in the highly competitive market of higher education.

The new members’ terms will run through June 30, 2028.

New Board of Regents Members

Louis J. Auletta Jr. is the CEO of Bauer, a Bristol, Connecticut-based designer and manufacturer of aircraft component test and maintenance equipment. Auletta, who lives in Farmington, has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University and an MS in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has served on the boards of directors for the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority, the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, and others. Auletta is currently chairman of the board of Bristol Health. He also serves on the board of visitors for UHart's College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture and was a commencement speaker in 2019. His daughter Megan graduated from the University of Hartford in 2016.

Rita Chertorivski, of Miami, Florida, is a bicultural senior attorney with more than 25 years of international experience leading legal teams across the United States and Latin America. Most recently, she was the senior vice president for business legal affairs in the global entertainment division of TelevisaUnivision, the world's leading Spanish-language media organization. Chertorivski was included in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 editions of Latino Leaders magazine's "100 Latinas" list. She earned law degrees from the University of Miami and Universidad Iberoamericana and studied at The Hague Academy of International Law and the Instituto de la Judicatura Federal. Chertorivski, whose daughter, Valentina Elias, is currently studying music theatre at The Hartt School, is on the Parent Network Council and served as a parent ambassador for Hawktober Weekend.

New Board of Regents Members

Nicholas Galluccio ’72 is the chairman of Teton Advisors, a Greenwich, Connecticut investment advisory company. He previously served as its president and CEO. For 25 years, he was a group managing director at Trust Company of the West and also spent time as a security analyst with Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb. Galluccio had an earlier career as a writer and investigative reporter, including editorial roles with Forbes and the Springfield Daily News. His work researching corporate corruption sparked his interest in business. Galluccio received a bachelor’s degrees from UHart's College of Arts & Sciences, and an MA and MBA from Columbia University. He has served on a number of committees at UHart and was a member of the Arts & Sciences Advisory Board. He lives in Goshen, Connecticut.

Amy Quigley ’93 founded EQIQ, a customer advisory board consulting firm. She previously served as president of the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, where she started InfluenceHER, a community for professional women that fosters discussions of what drives and inspires them to excel in the workplace. A resident of Waltham, Massachusetts, Quigley has been involved with Boston Cares, Friends of the Public Gardens, and other regional organizations. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication from the College of Arts and Sciences at UHart, and subsequently served on its Arts & Sciences advisory board as a member and as chair.

New Board of Regents Members

Annette Rogers M’02, D’11, teaches conflict management, complex organizations, and leadership as a clinical associate professor of management and marketing in the Barney School of Business. She has served in numerous positions at Barney, including program director, associate dean, and coordinator of academic services, and was just elected secretary of the Faculty Senate. In addition to master’s and doctoral degrees from UHart, Rogers holds a bachelor’s degree from Barton College in North Carolina. She has written articles and run workshops on critical thinking for operational excellence, generational differences, building a financial flight plan, and more.

John Rottkamp ’95, of Collinsville, Connecticut, is a senior vice president for global health services giant Cigna, having previously served in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in the finance organization. A member of the Society of Actuaries, Rottkamp received a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the Barney School of Business and has been a major collaborator in UHart's partnership with Cigna. He has served on a special advisory council of regional executives to concentrate on the efficacy of Barney graduate programs, and he continues to participate in Barney and UHart student engagement and development projects.

New Board of Regents Members

David Thompson ’89, M’91 is vice president for commercial operations and services at Boston Scientific, a worldwide developer, manufacturer, and marketer of medical devices. He has been with the company since 2001. As a member of the board of directors for the Boston Scientific Foundation, he contributes to its mission of improving health and educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged persons. Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the Barney School of Business. He previously served as vice chair of UHart’s Board of Regents. In 2025, he moderated a conversation called "I Am My Ancestors' Wildest Dreams" as part of the University's MLK Day observance and gave UHart’s Commencement address.

Jon-Paul Venoit ’96 is president and CEO of Masonicare, Connecticut's largest not-for-profit senior living organization, serving nearly 5,000 patients and residents. Venoit began his career with Masonicare as a waiter at the age of 16. After receiving bachelor’s degrees from the Barney School of Business, he rose through the ranks at Masonicare, eventually starting its homemaking and companionship business. A Wallingford resident, Venoit currently serves as chair of the board of directors of LeadingAge Connecticut. He has also been chairman of the Connecticut Assisted Living Foundation and the Connecticut Assisted Living Association Board. He holds a master’s degree from Post University. His son Ethan received a BS and an MBA from Barney in 2024.
