Michael Carroll on field in Dublin, Ireland

Michael Carroll ’21, an acoustical engineering and music major in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA), had the opportunity to travel abroad for an acoustic internship.

Carroll worked as an Acoustics Intern at AWN Consulting Ltd. over the summer of 2019. He worked abroad in Dublin, Ireland practicing consultancy, attending site visits such as wind farms or construction zones, and creating acoustic models of current and not yet built spaces.

This experience was fantastic. I was able to practice skills that I've acquired at UHart and apply them to do meaningful work in real-world situations, set to the amazing backdrop of Dublin, Ireland.
