Important Update from HRD

Temporary Positions (N6, S2)

All temporary (N6) and student (S2) positions have been terminated for the current fiscal year as of 6/21/2020.  Please be reminded, if any temporary positions in your unit need to be employed beyond 6/21/20, you will need to submit a ‘reactivate’ ePAF for these positions.

Minimum Wage Increase

Connecticut law requires all employers to pay their employees enough to meet the state’s minimum wage requirement.  Please be advised that Connecticut’s minimum wage, currently $11.00 per hour, will increase to $12.00 per hour effective September 1, 2020.  This will affect the hourly rate paid to students, including Work Study Students, and/or temporary workers.

Be advised, departmental salary budgets will not be adjusted to account for this increase, so please plan accordingly when scheduling your student/temporary workers.

Departments who have students or temporary workers earning less than $12.00 per hour on September 1 will not need to submit a revised ePAF and/or Roster Form.  HRD will work with Payroll to ensure all employees are brought up to the minimum wage effective September 1.
