Professor of English and Modern Languages Benjamin Grossberg Named West Hartford's Poet Laureate

Professor of English and Modern Languages Benjamin Grossberg was named the new poet laureate for the town of West Hartford. Grossberg was unanimously chosen for the three-year position, which includes holding poetry workshops and readings, by a committee comprised of those who formerly held the title. 

Grossberg's new role coincides with the publication this summer of his fourth book of poetry, My Husband Would (University of Tampa Press, 2020).

According to an article published in we-ha.com, a selection committee member said, “Ben Grossberg has great personal energy and charisma that immediately engages any audience. His genuineness and empathy toward others can be immediately felt."
