The following letter is being shared on behalf of Dean Hisham Alnajjar:

Hello,

I am excited to share the following programs received the highest possible accreditation results over six years from our fall 2019 accreditation visit:

  • Architectural Design + Technology (BS)
  • Computer and Electronic Engineering Technology (BS)
  • Electromechanical Engineering Technology (BS)

There were no deficiencies, weaknesses, or concerns found," as the results stated. This is the best accreditation results we have ever had.

I want to congratulate the faculty in the Department of Architecture and Samuel I. Ward Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for their outstanding effort in planning and executing the self-study report, providing supporting material, and the visit itself. I cannot emphasize enough the role and leadership of the department chairs, Prof. Jim Fuller and Prof. Ying Yu. A special thanks to Prof. Patricia Mellodge, program director for the Electromechanical Engineering Technology program, for her time and effort as well. Many individuals/units in CETA and UHart contributed to this effort; on behalf of the students: THANK YOU.

What these results exemplify is the value of our curricula. Because of the excellent team effort during this process, our students will benefit greatly from such results in years to come.

Congratulations to all; now on to the next visit.
