Register for "Your Barney Portfolio" A Day of Valuable Workshops

Students from throughout the University as welcome. Participation in the incubator is specifically open to the entire student body. 

The Barney School of Business Office of the Dean is pleased to host "Your Barney Portfolio," a full day of remote workshops focused on helping you create a personal portfolio of career-oriented skills and hands-on experiences. 

  • Learn how to enhance your academic work and your ability to succeed professionally.
  • Be career and life ready and competitive in the job market.

Mark your calendars and register for the series of workshops and other sessions on Friday, Oct. 23 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • The full schedule of sessions is included below.
  • The schedule includes links to register with Eventbrite for each session that requires registration.
  • You may register for individual sessions or for all of the session, depending on your personal interests. 
  • You must register in advance separately for each session you plan to attend.

  • Note: Although the remainder of the day will be online, this event is not remote. There is no need to register for this event. Just stop by.

Student Social Entrepreneurship Incubator

Learn about a new student entrepreneurship incubator and course coming to the University of Hartford this spring.

  • The incubator and course will provide the tools and support you need to start and sustain a social enterprise business yourself.
  • During this workshop, we will begin to brainstorm with participants about possible business ideas that could be supported by the incubator.
  • This new incubator is the result of a partnership between the Barney School of Business and the leading innovator in social enterprises in Connecticut -- reSET Social Enterprise Trust.

Introduction to the Bloomberg Terminal

A Bloomberg representative will offer a live online introductory overview of the Bloomberg Terminal and Bloomberg Market Concepts. If you have been interested in learning how to use Bloomberg or how to get training and certification for Bloomberg, this will be a great workshop for you.
