Electrical service will be restored to each building by 5 p.m. Saturday evening. No other campus buildings, including residence halls, will be affected by this electrical service shutdown.

This shutdown will affect the ability to use the remote desktop feature during the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. shutdown window.

If you have any problems using your remote desktop feature to access your computer after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, please contact the ITS Help Desk at helpdesk@hartford.edu for assistance with restoring your ability to remotely connect to your computer.

This shutdown will allow the contractors to complete the connection of the electrical service that will serve the new building and facilitate construction activities through the winter months.

Please note that we have selected Sunday, Jan. 17, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., as a weather contingency date should we be unable to safely perform the work due to a significant weather impact. Any potential changes to the electrical shutdown schedule will be announced in UNotes on Friday, Jan. 15.

Please contact Chris Dupuis in Facilities at cdupuis@hartford.edu should you have any questions or concerns regarding the electrical service interruption.
