Hartt Professor Braus to Publish Article

In its forthcoming issue, Current Musicology will publish an article by Ira Braus, associate professor of Music History. The article is titled, "Elliott Carter's Analysis of his Piano Sonata (1946): A Case of Music Historical Agnosia?" and it examines the composer's seeming disregard for structural precedents in analyzing one of his own works.
