Professor of Architecture Michael Crosbie recently interviewed Sharon Prince, founder and CEO of Grace Farms Foundation in New Canaan, Connecticut, on her Design for Freedom initiative. Design for Freedom has released a report on the pervasive use of slavery in the design and construction industry, and how design professionals can respond. Crosbie and Prince discuss the stain of slavery in the building materials and construction industry, and what design professions can do to wipe it out in his post, "Architecture and the Stain of Modern Day Slavery."

The piece was featured on Common Edge, a non-profit organization dedicated to reconnecting architecture and design with the public that it’s meant to serve.
