Assistant Professor Timothy Becker will present his latest genomics work at CSHL Biology of Genomes conference May 11-14. Timothy Becker presents, Structural variation genotyping by feature moment based Convolutional neural networks. He discusses his latest work in genotyping Structural Variants from whole genome next generation sequencing technologies at the upcoming Cold Spring Harbor Labs Biology of Genomes conference.

The work uses three gold standard human datasets to train deep learning Convolutional neural networks to identify deletion, inversion and duplication signatures with a lower false positive rate than previously published and state of the art methods.
