Background

The Jackson Laboratory is an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit biomedical research institution with the mission is to discover precise genomic solutions for disease and empower the global biomedical community in the shared quest to improve human health.  Our research teams focus on cancer, immunology and autoimmune diseases (including diabetes), neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases (including Alzheimer’s disease), life-cycle biology (including development, stem cells, aging and regenerative medicine), the microbiome and computational biology.  Find more information on JAX here.

Event Information

The JAX Healthcare Forum is an annual, two day event, held at our Genomic Medicine institute in Farmington, CT, which brings together key thought leaders in policy, industry and academia to discuss critical trends and new technologies that will change healthcare delivery and improve both patient experience and results.   

The theme this year is “The Post-COVID World,” and will address pandemic focus areas including: biology and epidemiology; population dynamics; regulatory landscape; future of vaccine development; post-pandemic economic and business impacts; use of technology; investments horizons; feature presentations by former U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn, M.D.; a panel on health assurance and new technologies led by Stephen Klasko, M.D., president, Thomas Jefferson University and CEO, Jefferson Health; a discussion of the economic and business landscape by Emil Verner, Ph.D., Class of 1957 Career Development professor and assistant professor, MIT Sloan School of Management and Andrew Metrick, Ph.D., Janet L. Yellen professor of Finance and Management, Yale School of Management; and other notable speakers.
