Campus Security Authorities

November 02, 2021
Submitted By: Marian Antunes

The Clery Act requires the University of Hartford to collect crime reports from a variety of individuals and organizations that the Clery Act considers to be Campus Security Authorities. These include security and law enforcement officers; deans; coaches; residence hall staff; overseers and advisors to student clubs and organizations; and other campus officials who have "significant responsibility for student and campus activities," such as, but not limited to, student housing, student discipline and campus judicial proceedings.

If you have been designated as a Campus Security Authority, you must comply with the Clery Act and reporting requirements by viewing a brief 13-minute CSA training video and completing a brief quiz following the video. You will receive or may have already received an email from our training provider Vector (aka Safe-Colleges) with instructions on how to access the training. Please follow the login instructions, view the training video, and complete the training assessment.

As a reminder, ALL designated CSAs must comply with the Clery Act under federal law. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Marian Antunes, Clery Compliance Officer, via email at mantunes@hartford.edu.
