JCJ Architecture Lecture Series Returns Virtually Nov. 15

The Department of Architecture cordially invites all University faculty, staff, and students to the next event of the JCJ Architecture Fall 2021 Architecture Lecture Series on Monday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. via WebEx.

Allison Anderson FAIA, LEED-AP and John Anderson AIA, LEED-AP of Unabridged Architecture in Bay St. Louis, Miss., will be joining us virtually to present, "Adapting to Climate Change: Architecture and Urban Planning."

About Allison Anderson FAIA, LEED-AP

Allison Anderson is recognized for civic projects which are carefully crafted and inherently defensible against climate challenges. Allison earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California. She has licenses in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. She has taught architecture in accredited professional programs at the University of Texas, Louisiana State University, and Tulane University. Allison serves on the American Institute of Architects Committee on Climate Action and Design Excellence. She was the first LEED-Accredited Professional in Mississippi.

About John Anderson AIA, LEED-AP

John Anderson is a resource for design for the climate resulting in a regional modernist architecture. John was the first LEED-Accredited Professional in the state of Louisiana in 2002 and was the founding Chair of the USGBC Louisiana. He served as President of AIA-Mississippi 2017-2018. John earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining unabridged Architecture in 2007, John worked for 13 years at AIA 2014 Architecture Firm of the Year Eskew+Dumez+Ripple in New Orleans, Louisiana.
