Study Recruitment for Master in Neuroscience Student's Thesis

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering staff at the University of Hartford are conducting a study examining how auditory and visual cues affect balance and posture. We are currently looking for healthy young adults between 18 and 30 years of age who have no history of sensory or neurological deficits (e.g., hospitalizations). We are evaluating how visual and auditory cues affect learning while having participants complete a balancing test. This data will be used in future studies to improve rehabilitation strategies for children with moderate-to-severe Cerebral Palsy. 

If you are interested in participating in this study, you will be asked to come to the University of Hartford for 2 sessions separated a week apart from each other. The sessions will last up to 2 hours. At the end of the second session, participants will be compensated $20

Sarah Anthony is a neuroscience graduate student who oversees recruitment for this project. She is supervised by Dr. Sandra Saavedra in the Pediatric Balance Laboratory at the University of Hartford.
