Healthy Hawks is thinking about this time of the year and the potential for added stress to one's life with the holidays. The following Q & A offers some tips about holiday gift-giving and ways to reduce associated stress.

Q: How can I deal with the stress and pressure of gift-giving?

A: Consider making a list of all the people you need to get a gift for so that you are organized. This may prevent you from panicking about forgetting someone.

Q: What if I feel a lot of financial pressure due to the high cost of buying gifts?

A: Be honest with everyone about your financial situation. Most people will understand. If you put thought and effort into your gifts, be satisfied.

Q: I don’t even know where to start. I am so overwhelmed!

A: Feel comfortable asking for help. Family and friends are often more willing to help than you realize.
