Biology Student from College of Arts and Sciences Wins Award at DBNY Regional Research Conference
Research students from 14 states and nine countries presented their research findings at the 3rd DBNY, a regional undergraduate research conference on November 13, 2021. Four students from Dr. Yingcui Li’s Lab at Department of Biology, College of Arts and Sciences, presented their research. Gabrielle Zeller (Junior), Jane Yon (Post-bacc), and Alex Tress (Post-bacc) presented their research entitled “Dynamic Cellular Analysis of Growth Plate Chondrocyte Development and Mineralization”. Alison Salinas (Senior) presented her research with Nicole Castro-Saab (Junior) entitled “Elucidating the Effects of Lead on Gallus gallus Embryonic Dorsal Root Ganglion Neurite Projections”. Alison Salinas was recognized and received the “DBNY Outstanding Presentation Award” at this conference.
