Join us in congratulating Dr. Hisham Alnajjar on his recent accomplishment of being elected a member of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (CASE). Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (CASE) was founded in 1976 by a special act of the Connecticut General Assembly. It is comprised of distinguished scientists and engineers from Connecticut’s academic, industrial, and institutional communities. The Academy members provide expert guidance and advice on science and technology to the state agencies and legislature. The CASE also initiates activities that foster science and engineering education of the highest quality, and promote interest in science and engineering on the part of the public, especially young people.

Individuals are nominated for election as members of the Academy by members through an annual election process. The members are elected based on recognition of their scientific and engineering distinction achieved through significant contributions in theory or applications, outstanding leadership of nationally recognized technical teams, public service, and external professional awards in recognition of scientific and engineering excellence.
