Changes to the Dialogue for Direction Program
The Office of Human Resources Development (HRD) is excited to announce some changes to the annual dialogue for direction program, based on feedback we have received from both staff and supervisors.
While this remains an annual review process, we have restructured the program as an Annual Career Development/Assessment Program. The forms* have been modified to provide both the supervisor and staff member greater opportunity to reflect on and assess career development, as well as collaboratively establish goals and objectives to further career pathways and aspirations. As a reminder, an assessment should be completed for all regular full and part time staff members.
*Note, if you have already submitted or begun the review process with your staff, you are not required to submit the new forms.
We are also happy to announce that we have permanently extended the due date for all staff reviews to be completed and returned to HRD by June 30 of each year. This aligns with the fiscal year and provides additional time for each unit to complete this process.
For your convenience, the Annual Career Development/Assessment form is available online. We have also provided additional tools for both staff and supervisors on the Forms page on the HRD Website, under Performance Reviews.
The 90-day review form has not changed and may also be accessed in the Performance Reviews section.
