Life and Disability Insurance Carrier Update

We are pleased to announce that University of Hartford has selected Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) as the plan carrier for Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D), and Disability insurance effective April 1, 2022. There is no action needed at this time; your current benefit elections will automatically carry over to the Standard.

If you are currently on short-term disability, your claim will remain with Matrix, our current carrier, until you return to work.
