Greek Piano Trio Performs at Hartt School

On Monday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Millard auditorium the internationally renowned Galan Piano Trio will present a concert of new works. This is part of a residency at the Hartt School, involving reading and recording of new trios written by student composers, a master class with chamber music ensembles, and the concert, featuring new works written for them by six American composers, including Ken Steen, Hartt composition faculty. The concert is free, it will also be streamed. This concludes the Trio’s spring US tour, a project involving the creation of new work for their ensemble titled “Kinesis”. The tour and project are sponsored by “Greece in USA", a New York non-profit organization that aims to promote Greek culture in the United States under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Greek National Tourism Organization.
