Minimum Wage Increase
Effective July 1, 2022, Connecticut’s minimum wage will increase from $13.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour. This will affect the hourly rate paid to all students (including Work Study Students) and/or all temporary workers.
Departmental salary budgets will not be adjusted to account for this increase, so please plan accordingly when hiring and/or scheduling your student and/or temporary workers.
HRD and Payroll are working together to adjust affected individuals below $14.00 per hour to the mandatory minimum wage rate effective July 1, 2022.
Departments will not need to submit a revised ePAF and/or Roster Form unless you wish to pay the student/temporary worker more than the mandatory minimum wage.
