Faculty Fellowship Opportunity

The University of Hartford is part of the New England Board of Higher Education’s (NEBHE) North Star Collective, a group of colleges and universities in the New England region that are committed to transforming their institutions and uplifting BIPOC faculty on our campuses. Eligible faculty are encouraged to apply for the North Star Collective Faculty Fellowship, a semester-long fellowship in Spring 2023 that promotes healing and repair for early career BIPOC (Black/ Indigenous/ People of Color) faculty in New England by providing a nourishing community of care, mentorship, and professional development. NEBHE will be hosting a virtual information session on Friday, Oct. 7th at noon. Eligible faculty will identify as BIPOC faculty, including those who are Black/African/African American, Latinx/ Hispanic, Native/ Indigenous, Arab/Middle Eastern, Asian/ Asian American/Pacific Islander, and Multiracial. They must have a Doctorate (PhD, EdD, or equivalent) and be non-tenured junior faculty in their first five years of teaching, including full-time tenure-track or core assistant professors, visiting assistant professors, lecturers, and NTT contract/adjunct faculty. Scholarship and teaching should be situated in the Humanities or Social Sciences fields. NEBHE hopes to select up to two fellows from each NSC member instition, including the University of Hartford.
