Faculty Friday Events for Nov. 11

November 09, 2022
Submitted By: T Stores

And on Fridays, we celebrate and focus on our faculty!

From 9:30 a.m. – noon, please join Margaret Tarampi and Julie Sochacki in the CTEI/Creative Technologies Center, lower level of Harrison Libraries for The Faculty Writing Community, which aims to enhance scholarly productivity by helping faculty carve out a block of time for projects that would otherwise have been sidelined by other commitments. Participants bring their laptop and/or whatever else they need to work. CTEI provides snacks and refreshments but otherwise leaves faculty alone to write. Open to all faculty.

From noon – 2 p.m., the Private Dining Room in University Commons has been reserved for faculty use. Bring your own lunch or purchase lunch at the Commons, and join your faculty friends and colleagues.

Due to supply chain delays, the Faculty Friday talk by Professor Michael Walsh on his forthcoming book, Durational Cinema: A Short History of Long Films, originally scheduled for 2-3:30 on this date, will be postponed until Spring 2023
