She has presented her research at annual national conferences such as The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and The American Physical Society (APS).

The DEI Faculty Fellow works closely with the Assistant Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement on initiatives to advance UHart’s ongoing commitment to an equitable and inclusive campus culture and climate where each person feels supported and safe. During the fellowship, Professor Nangia will work with the Co-Chairs of the President Steering Committee on DEI, In-term Provost, Katherine Black, the Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation, and the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs.

The DEI Faculty Fellowship Program allows faculty members to immerse themselves more deeply in projects that focus on institutional priorities related to diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and belonging, as well as support their professional development. The length of the fellowship is flexible but will be a minimum of one year. Fellow receives a course release and a summer stipend.

Professor Nangia looks forward to working towards the enhancement of measures that generate the feeling and experience of inclusivity and belonging within the UHart faculty and staff community and beyond. Professor Nangia shares a quote from James Baldwin, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
