Hartt's Talents Take Center Stage in Recent Collage Concert

One of The Hartt School’s signature events—Collage Concert—was a satisfying ‘treat’ for all who witnessed the performance. Held on Feb. 17 and 18, the event is an annual offering to the community that weaves music, dance, and theater into a continuous performance.

The enthusiasm and energy from the performance were infectious and lasted long after the curtain came down. Reviews from audience members include singular adjectives such as “amazing,” “stunning,” “fabulous,” and “incredible.” As this year’s Artistic Director, Dale Merrill (dean of The Hartt School) says, “there is little something for everyone’s taste. Another wonderful element of this concert is it is one of the few times all Hartt’s divisions perform collectively in one show – there is nothing quite like it.”

Indeed, the talents of the performers—the students themselves—took center stage for all to witness. The event infused “fun and energy” and showcased the many talented students found at Hartt—a telling tale of what’s to come in future happenings at Hartt and beyond.
