While the first rocket expedition for SpaceX lasted just a few minutes, it was deemed an exciting moment for space travel. That left many people with questions, and University of Hartford Associate Professor Paul Slaboch was ready to explain all of it on NBC CT

Slaboch is director of UHart’s aerospace engineering program—the only of its kind in Connecticut—and has been closely following SpaceX developments. This was the largest rocket that’s ever attempted a launch, as it stood at nearly 400 feet and had 10 million pounds of fuel, Slaboch explained in the TV news segment.

SpaceX plans to launch rockets to the moon and will partner with NASA for a future astronaut trip, added Slaboch, who teaches mechanical, aerospace, and acoustical engineering in UHart’s College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture. The launch was also a success in the amount of distance it was able to travel and the data it will provide for more rockets and exploration.
