elizabethdill.jpegElizabeth Dill, who has directed Harrison Libraries since April 2021, has accepted a position as dean of the University Library at California State University Long Beach.

“Elizabeth brought new energy and vibrancy to the Harrison Libraries,” says UHart Provost Katherine Black. “We have all appreciated her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging, which she promoted through library programming, resources, and her own research.”

Dill came to UHart with almost a decade of experience at other university libraries, as well as an impressive educational background that includes a Master of Fine Arts degree from the California Institute of the Arts and a master’s degree in library and information sciences from Valdosta State University. She recently co-edited a book on information literacy that was published in conjunction with the Association of College and Research Libraries, and was awarded a grant from the American Library Association for her research.

“We will all miss Elizabeth’s kindness and enthusiasm, and wish her all the best in her next adventure,” Black adds. "She has been an absolute joy to work with."
